Okuma America will celebrate the 50th anniversary of its THINC-OSP CNC control at the company’s Technology Showcase event, December 10-12, in Charlotte, N.C. This event will feature hands-on demonstrations of the latest Okuma technology, including the THINC-OSP P300.

Okuma developed the OSP (Okuma Sampling Path) control in 1963 following a mechatronics approach, which blends mechanical and electrical systems for seamless communication between the machine and its control. Its open architecture platform is designed to remove barriers, limitations and planned obsolescence imposed by proprietary CNC control systems. One of the features of the P300 model is a new “Easy Operation” run screen that combines functions in one place and eliminates toggling between screens to input settings.
