CAD/CAM software developer Delcam (Windsor, Ontario) has added more than 40 years’ worth of extra toolmaking experience to its North American support team with the addition of Cory Barrette, Michael Belanger and Jonathon Artiss. According to the company, these appointments continue staffing growth in response to increasing demand for the company’s software.

Before joining Delcam, Cory Barrette had spent more than eighteen years in the tool and mold industry in a variety of companies in the Windsor area. He gained experience in using a variety of CAM systems, including Delcam’s PowerMILL and FeatureCAM software, to program many different types of machine tools.

Since completing his apprenticeship in 2001, Michael Belanger has worked as a CNC machinist in two of the largest toolmaking companies in Ontario, Active Burgess Mold & Design and Integrity Tool & Mold.  For most of that time, he was using PowerMILL for five-axis and high-speed machining.  In addition to his programming responsibilities, Michael also assisted in the training of new employees.

Jonathan Artiss began his career with a manufacturer of custom furniture. He moved into toolmaking in 2005, becoming skilled at creating 3D models from prints and programming the manufacture of molds, slides and inserts.  Jonathan gained his formal qualification as a machinist from St. Clair College in 2010.
