KIVA™ low-profile non-adjustable access flooring is the lowest profile access floor on the market. Leveraging BYRNE innovation and electrical transmission expertise KIVA™ is positioned for strong growth in the developing access flooring market.  Other customer and sales growth opportunities include XUS™ LED industrial lighting and BYRNE® electrical accessories targeted at healthcare and hospitality office and work environments.

Position Summary: The Market Development Manager will cover markets in North America in the US and Canada. The MDM is responsible for the development and implementation of a strategic sales plan defining target markets, customers, promotion strategies for the KIVA and XUS product lines. This position drives the generation of sales and customer growth in new and developing access flooring and LED lighting markets across the United States and Canada.
Performance requirements include achievement of sales commitments by product line measured by revenue and gross margin; focus on the customer; and management of expenses within a budget. Key competencies include tenacity, results focus, customer focus, negotiations, risk taking, independence, teamwork, and communication skills.

This position will be based out of the Byrne Corporate Office in Rockford, Michigan. Compensation will include base salary + incentive, company performance incentive, travel allowance and participation in company health & retirement plans.

Job Requirements:
Experience

  • Experience in the access flooring, lighting industry, construction industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop a sale from cold call to close.
  • Ability to market, educate and sell new products and services, attracting new customers.
  • Solid experience in delivering impactful presentations & demonstrations.


Knowledge & Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to develop an intimate knowledge of customers, competition and the market.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong customer relationships.
  • Superior learning and communication skills.


Abilities & Personal Characteristics

  • Conducts himself/herself with highest ethical & moral standards.
  • Demonstrate ability to prioritize & execute against multiple opportunities.
  • Highly motivated and results driven with a high energy level.

Market complexity

  • Experience working in multiple channels of distribution. Acts upon and understands how the customer defines success and how to leverage the two companies for mutual success.
  • Ability to travel 50-75% of the time.


Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years sales & market development experience preferred.

Byrne Tool and Die Job Opening: Outside Sales Engineer

Job Summary: To grow the business in a sustainable fashion achieving strategic corporate revenue targets. The focus will be on developing sustainable partnerships with manufacturing companies across diverse industries while achieving superior customer satisfaction and long term goals in line with the company vision and values.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage sales leads process supporting prospects and growth targets
  • Program manage existing and new sales proposal and projects
  • Assist in the development and implementation of sales and marketing plans
  • Execute pricing and proposal request
  • Develop a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face to face cold calling on business owners, direct mail, email, and networking
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM / ERP system
  • Implement Sales metrics
  • Implement customer feedback loops
  • Assist in Budget planning and measure against goals
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures and ethics
  • Participate in operational/process waste elimination events


Qualifications:
The ideal candidate would have a track record of successful sales experience with a minimum of 2-5 years in manufacturing of plastics and/or mold building. Candidate will possess a college degree. This conscientious person would demonstrate a high standard of ethics and values that complement those of our organization and have the ability to communicate effectively in a positive manner. Strong interpersonal skills necessary to build rapport with customers and peers are essential.
