SLIDESHOW: Amerimold Delivers for Moldmaker Exhibitors, Too

As has been shared in previous blog posts from MMT, Amerimold has received very high marks of satisfaction from supplier companies who exhibited (especially from those who sold products while still at the show). It was no different for our moldmaker exhibitors, and in fact, this year saw a record number of mold shops invest in exhibiting at THE Event for Mold Manufacturing.

I contacted a few shops after Amerimold closed in Novi, Michigan, to find that many of them were very happy they participated beyond simply walking the show. One such shop is Ameritech Die and Mold from Mooresville, North Carolina. According to Steve Rotman, president, and Bob Jewell, sales and service representative, they have attended many Amerimold Expos in the past but this year they decided to exhibit and really immerse themselves in the experience and promote their capabilities.

“We felt the show was well organized, well attended and a good investment for us,” Bob says. “A large segment of new visitors was seeking a USA moldmaker (not an offshore manufacturer) who could provide a mold tool from start to finish under one roof. Once our visitors saw the complexity and quality of the parts displayed in our booth – and realized these mold tools were 100% engineered, designed and manufactured in-house by Ameritech – this is what they were most attracted to resulting in lead generation and new contacts for us.”

MMT’s Leadtime Leader Award winner, Krieger Craftsman from Grand Rapids, Michigan, was also a first-time exhibitor. President Tim Krieger was so happy with how everything went at the show that his company is already signed up for a larger booth space at Amerimold 2017 in Chicago. He told me he walked away with several RFQ’s from the show and has been following up with leads solidly every day since. He emphasized the value of reconnecting with previous customers, too, and said Krieger Craftsmen was just awarded a multi-mold, one-million-dollar-plus project from a customer with whom their relationship was “rekindled” due to his Leadtime Leader status, which was announced at Amerimold.

Jewel from Ameritech said, “To us, the show is a great venue to communicate with existing customers, friends and colleagues, see new technologies, and share ways we can improve becoming more profitable and productive. And certainly, receiving new customer prospects is always rewarding.”

I sense a theme here among the moldmakers who exhibit at Amerimold. It’s more than just building a business with prospective customer leads. It’s about connecting and reconnecting, sharing and learning, too. Check out our slide show to see a few of the moldmakers who exhibited this year.
