Looking for a way to treat your mold manufacturing team to an evening of fun, all the while having the chance to view new products and services, network with colleagues and help a great industry cause? The Chicago Chapter of the American Mold Builders Association is ramping up for its second annual Suppliers Night fundraiser in support of its education committee’s work to promote moldmaking as a viable career path. The event will be held on Wednesday, April 20, at Medinah Banquets in Addison, Illinois.

This year’s keynote speaker will be National AMBA Executive Director Troy Nix, who will leave vendor and moldmaker attendees energized and inspired to put their best selves forward for success. "The Cadence of Your Leadership--Frightening or Harmonic?" is Nix’s theme, and he will draw on his personal experience working with leaders in the military and manufacturing to demonstrate how to effectively use “military cadence” to lead your organization and drive success.

If this year’s Supplier Night is anything like the first, it will be a smashing success. It feels like yesterday that the Chicago Chapter hosted the inaugural event, which drew an enthusiastic group of moldmaking industry supplier companies who were happy to exhibit their latest innovations and support a great cause while making a local connection with moldmakers from throughout the Chicagoland area.

The doors will open at 4 p.m., and the exhibition portion of the event, during which refreshments will be provided, is free to all mold manufacturing business owners and their employees. Guests are encouraged to register and stay for the dinner meeting (special group rates are available), which begins at 7 p.m. followed by Nix’s keynote. Raffle prizes will be awarded throughout the event to moldmakers, and the event will conclude at about 9 p.m.

For information about being an exhibitor sponsor (space is very limited), or to obtain a registration form to attend this fun and informative event, contact Karen Norville at 708-227-0373 or ambachicagochapter@comcast.net.

MoldMaking Technology will be at the event, as we were last year, and we hope to see you there!
