At times I find it challenging to explain to some of my family and friends exactly what I do for a living. Depending on the situation, I keep it general and tend to say I write for a trade magazine for the manufacturing industry. When pressed for more details, I try to explain what plastic injection molds are—and how they impact daily life! The next time I am asked, I will simply share this video to showcase how important moldmaking is. Watch how Mark Calhoun and Jacob Price, biomedical engineering students at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, designed and built a prosthetic arm for Daniel—with a little help from Siemens PLM Software.
