The AMBA Conference Twitter Style

From the opening networking reception and Awards dinner to the energizing presentations and roundtables, there is plenty to share about this year's AMBA conference, and Twitter helped.

With a theme of “Commit to the Challenge” for this year's AMBA 2017 Annual Conference, leading U.S. mold manufacturers (as well as me and senior editor Cyndi Kustush) gathered in Cleveland to learn new ways to increase profitability, connect with industry peers and improve operations and tactics in order to impact bottom-line profits.

Here are some of the highlights via Twitter focused only on the kick-off keynote presentation on Standout Leadership, by Connie Podesta, an author, TV personality and comedienne. Connie discussed how accountability and ownership are vital to increase performance, but in the real world many employees simply ‘meet expectations,’ lack initiative, bring their personal life to work, stress over every change and whine about having to work…on the job! “Enough!” said Connie. She spent the next hour or so empowering the audience with the attitudes, mindsets and strategies necessary to create a team that’s willing, able and excited to get the job done the right way.
