Welcome to the new Additive Manufacturing magazine. I have been on the team publishing Additive Manufacturing as a small supplement to a few of our larger magazines, but this issue marks the debut of a standalone quarterly publication with a redesigned look, feel, size and scope. The move was warranted by the continued interest and activity levels in additive manufacturing. Take a look at the digital edition now available.

The month we look at our work with Linear Mold to produce an AM part that provided insight into the process, how increased adoption of AM in mainstream facilities demands that companies rethink safety, how a turning shop reaps the benefits of its 3D printer beyond its initial application and how one additive machine works with standard plastic granulate to enable a bearing manufacturer to move away from injection molding on certain parts.

Special this month is our Additive Manufacturing Conference Guide to the sessions, tours and special events during the conference on October 20-21.

We are also debuting some new sections focused on industry trends and news. In addition to the magazine, we have launched a new website, additivemanufacturing.media, as well as a Facebook page, and presence on Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube-- all geared to give you continual AM coverage.

Take some time to check it all out and share any feedback.
